Amanda Davies is known for her figurative paintings, transforming a body state experience into an image to be seen. This oscillation between seeing and sensing, the abject and rejected, the assimilated and misconceived, the known and the unknown, helps to construct both our individual and community identity.
Amanda majored in painting when she completed her studies at the University of Tasmania BFA (hons, first class), Hobart. She lives in Premaydena, Tasmania and is represented by Bett Gallery, Hobart.
